Palm Beach House
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Palm Beach House boasts a futuristic design that centres around a unique hexagonal shape derived from an existing concrete structure on site. The geometrical structure is complemented by a striking red copper cladding, contrasting beautifully with the muted tones of the polished concrete pillars and white interior finishes.
The copper ceiling highlights the interior space and fills the home a sense of grandeur and luxury, a sensation only fitting with the panoramic views of the horizon beyond. The effect of the reflective ceiling sends golden sunsets bouncing throughout the home allowing light to scatter and diffuse throughout the space.
To create a harmonious connection between the warm copper cladding and the golden sand in the distance, sandstone is used exterior of the home creating moments of more subdued respite and calmness. The grandeur of Palm Beach House hides itself from the street as it nestles within the slope towering over Palm Beach and the headland below. Palm Beach House exemplifies how form and materiality can work together to create a bold and pronounced architectural statement.
